The 1/2" AR500 Gong 3-Pack with T-Post Gong Hangers gives you three progressively sized steel gong targets and three T-Post Gong Hanger pairs for a versatile long-range range setup. The package includes 8", 10" and 12" round gongs, letting you use the smaller plate for precision work and the larger plates for faster transitions and extended-range shooting. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel. T-posts, chain and mounting hardware are required and not included. Made in the USA.

The three target sizes give you multiple levels of difficulty in one setup. The 8" gong creates a smaller strike face for more demanding distance work, while the 10" and 12" gongs provide larger feedback zones for faster follow-up shots and transitions. The targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances, including 7mm Mag, .30-06, .300 Win Mag and .45-70. Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum and comparable magnum cartridges: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect plates before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What calibers are these targets rated for?
The targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the proper minimum shooting distances. The supplied product information also lists 7mm Mag, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .338 Win Mag and .45-70 at appropriate distances.

Why are three different gong sizes included?
The 8", 10" and 12" gongs let you change the difficulty of your range setup without changing target systems. The 8" plate creates a smaller aiming area for precision work, while the 10" and 12" plates provide larger strike faces for faster transitions, follow-up shots and extended-range practice.

What is included with the T-Post Gong Hangers?
The package includes three T-Post Gong Hanger pairs, one pair for each gong. T-posts, chain and mounting hardware are not included.

What chain and mounting hardware do I need?

Why are the targets CNC laser-cut instead of plasma-cut?
CNC laser-cutting controls the heat-affected zone more precisely than plasma cutting, helping preserve hardness at the plate edge while creating a cleaner perimeter and more predictable splatter behavior on impact.

Does this pack ship painted?
No. All ShootSteel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange offer the best contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. These targets are manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.
