1/2" AR500 Steel Targets | PPT Starter Bundle

The 1/2" AR500 Steel Targets | PPT Starter Bundle includes three steel shooting targets commonly used by Pew Pew Tactical: one 12"x20" silhouette, one 8" round target and one 5" round target. Each plate is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel, giving you three different strike-face sizes for building accuracy, changing drill difficulty and shooting at different distances. The targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances.

The static targets accept a standard 1/2" carriage bolt and can be mounted to a steel post, 2x4 or similar compatible structure. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Mounting hardware is not included, and all three targets ship unpainted. The bundle works well with cartridges including 7mm Mag, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .338 Mag and .45-70. Assembly

Each static target accepts a standard 1/2" carriage bolt and can be mounted to a compatible steel post, 2x4 or similar structure. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Mounting hardware and mounting structures are not included.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the plates and mounting hardware before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

No. All Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. Shoot Steel Target Paint can be used to improve visibility and make impacts easier to track.

What is the connection to Pew Pew Tactical?

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
