Assembly

Provide a 2x4 crossbeam and slide the supplied Speed Rack Hangers over the crossbeam. Position the five 8" targets along the rack and secure the hangers in place. If you select the Add Legs option, install the included 40" EMT conduit legs to complete the stand. The assembled system positions the targets approximately 24" off the ground when used with the 40" legs and can be broken down for transport or storage.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the targets, hangers, mounting hardware, 2x4 crossbeam and legs before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What is the difference between Kit Only and Add Legs?
Both options include five 8" AR500 targets, Speed Rack Hangers and mounting hardware. The Add Legs option also includes the 40" EMT conduit legs. The Kit Only option does not include the legs.

How many targets are included?
Both configurations include five 8" static targets CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel.

What do I need to complete the rack?
Both options require you to supply a 2x4 crossbeam. If you choose Kit Only, you will also need to provide the legs. The Add Legs option includes the 40" EMT conduit legs.

How high do the targets sit with the included legs?
With the 40" EMT conduit legs included in the Add Legs option, the targets sit approximately 24" off the ground.

Can I customize the target configuration?
Yes. The Speed Rack design allows you to adjust target positioning along the 2x4 crossbeam. For a custom setup, purchase the Speed Rack Hanger and compatible Shoot Steel static targets separately.

Are the hangers weather resistant?
The included Speed Rack Hangers are zinc-plated for added weather resistance.

Does the Speed Rack ship painted?
No. All Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. Shoot Steel Target Paint can be used to improve visibility and make impacts easier to track.

Yes. We stand behind our products.

• Welds: covered for 1 year from date of delivery

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
