2x4 Gong Stand Brackets | 1/4" AR400 | A-Frame DIY Steel Target Stand

The 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets let you build a sturdy A-frame steel target stand using standard 2x4 lumber from your local hardware store. The kit includes two CNC laser-cut 1/4" AR400 steel brackets and 16 lag screws for securing the legs and crossmember. The completed stand supports gong targets up to 80 lbs. and is rated for impact energy up to 4,500 ft-lbs. Made in the USA.

Using standard 2x4 lumber keeps the stand simple to build and makes damaged wood easy to replace. For hanging your gong, screw rubber chain mounts directly into the 2x4 crossmember or use the 2x4 Hybrid Gong Hangers for an adjustable mounting setup. Assembly

Build the A-frame stand using standard 2x4 lumber for both the legs and crossmember. Cut the lumber to the height and width that fits your target spacing and range setup, then secure the brackets to the lumber using the 16 included lag screws.

Gongs can be hung by mounting rubber chain hardware directly to the 2x4 crossmember or by using the 2x4 Hybrid Gong Hangers for easier repositioning along the crossmember.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances are determined by the target plate used with this stand. Always follow the safety and distance requirements for the specific target and cartridge combination.

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
