The 3/8" AR500 Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System pairs your choice of a 9"x15" or 12"x20" static target with a patented zinc-plated T-post hanger and spring for a simple, portable steel target setup. The 9"x15" target weighs approximately 10 lbs., while the larger 12"x20" target weighs approximately 21 lbs. Each plate is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel. Add a standard steel T-post and you have a range-ready setup that is easy to install, remove and relocate. Made in the USA.

The patented hanger drops directly over a standard steel T-post, eliminating the need for a wood upright. The included spring helps manage target movement on impact, while the zinc-plated hanger is built for repeated outdoor range use. Assembly

Mount the target to the patented hanger using the included spring and mounting components, then slide the hanger directly over a compatible standard steel T-post. No tools are required at the post itself, making the system easy to move between T-posts or remove when the range is not in use. T-post profiles can vary slightly by manufacturer, so confirm fit when purchasing posts.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Maximum rated cartridges: .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plate, hanger, spring, T-post and mounting components before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace damaged posts, springs or mounting components before continuing. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

The 9"x15" target weighs approximately 10 lbs. and provides a smaller strike area for more demanding accuracy and transition drills. The 12"x20" target weighs approximately 21 lbs. and provides a larger silhouette for general pistol and rifle training.

How does the T-post hanger work?

What if I need a target for higher-energy rifle cartridges?
For cartridges beyond the standard 3/8" AR500 rating, consider a heavier target system such as 1/2" AR550 and follow the applicable cartridge and distance guidelines.

Does this target ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint provides strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
