The 1/4" AR400 Rimfire KYL Rack | 3-Target is a compact Know Your Limits target system built for precision rimfire training. Choose between two target configurations: 1", 2" and 3" targets or 1", 3" and 5" targets. Each target, hanger and stand bracket is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/4" AR400 steel for consistent fit and repeatable setup. The modular design lets you replace individual components without replacing the entire rack. Made in the USA.

KYL, or Know Your Limits, targets challenge shooters to engage progressively smaller strike faces while maintaining accuracy and shot discipline. Miss a target and the run ends, making the format useful for competition practice, trigger control and precision rimfire training. The rack uses spacers, hangers and stand brackets instead of heavy chain or complicated hardware, keeping the system portable and easy to set up. Assembly

Assemble the rack using the included targets, spacers, hangers, stand brackets and hardware. The modular design allows individual targets, hangers or stand components to be replaced as needed. No chain is required, and target changes can be made without replacing the entire system.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances by cartridge:

• .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 LR: 10 yards minimum
• .17 HM2: 50 yards minimum
• .17 HMR: 100 yards minimum
• .22 Magnum: 125 yards minimum
• .17 WSM: Not rated

This rack is designed for rimfire use only. Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect all targets, hangers, spacers, hardware and stand components before every session. Replace any component that shows cratering, severe pitting or structural damage. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What target configurations are available?
Choose between a 1", 2" and 3" target set or a 1", 3" and 5" target set. Both configurations use three CNC laser-cut 1/4" AR400 targets.

What is a KYL rack?
KYL stands for Know Your Limits. Shooters engage targets of different sizes in sequence, requiring accuracy and discipline as the strike faces become more challenging. The format is commonly used for precision rimfire training and competition practice.

What calibers is this rack rated for?
The rack is rated for .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 LR at 10 yards minimum, .17 HM2 at 50 yards minimum, .17 HMR at 100 yards minimum and .22 Magnum at 125 yards minimum. It is not rated for .17 WSM or centerfire cartridges.

Why is the rack modular?
Targets, hangers and stand components can be replaced individually if damaged or worn, so you do not need to replace the entire rack.

Is the KYL rack portable?
Yes. The system uses compact targets, spacers and modular mounting components without heavy chain, making it easy to break down, transport and set up for rimfire practice.

Why is the rack CNC laser-cut?
CNC laser-cutting provides consistent dimensions across the targets, hangers and stand brackets, helping the modular components fit together consistently.

Does this rack ship painted?
No. All Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange provide strong visibility on small targets at distance.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR400 steel.

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
