Static Target Hardware Kit

The Static Target Hardware Kit provides replacement mounting hardware for Shoot Steel static target hangers. Choose the Standard or Heavy Duty configuration depending on your setup. Each kit includes Grade 5 carriage bolts, replacement springs and lock nuts so you can replace worn components without replacing the complete hanger.

The Standard configuration uses the standard spring setup for general pistol and recreational range use. The Heavy Duty configuration uses an upgraded spring for higher round counts and higher-impact target setups, including magnum handgun and rifle applications when the target itself is properly rated. Both kits are designed for Shoot Steel static target hangers using 1/2" carriage-bolt mounting and are manufactured in the United States.

Safety and Usage

This hardware kit does not determine the caliber rating or minimum shooting distance of your target system. Always follow the ammunition, caliber and distance requirements for the specific target plate and hanger configuration being used.

Inspect carriage bolts, springs and lock nuts before every range session. Replace components that show cracking, deformation, reduced spring tension or excessive wear. Confirm all hardware is properly installed and secure before shooting.

What is the difference between the Standard and Heavy Duty kits?

It is designed for Shoot Steel static target hangers that use 1/2" carriage-bolt mounting. It is not compatible with the Short Range Rifle Target stand configuration.

Does the Heavy Duty kit make my target rifle rated?
No. The Heavy Duty option changes the spring configuration only. Caliber compatibility and minimum shooting distance are determined by the target plate and complete target system being used.

Why are Grade 5 carriage bolts used?
Grade 5 carriage bolts are the specified replacement hardware for this static target mounting system.

Personal and Recreational Use

• Target plates: covered against manufacturing and material defects for 90 days from date of delivery
• Welds: covered for 1 year from date of delivery
• Coverage includes weld integrity, materials and workmanship

Commercial and Range Use

• All components: covered against manufacturing and material defects for 90 days from date of purchase
• Coverage includes weld integrity, materials and workmanship
• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
