T-Post Gong Hanger Set | 3/8" AR500 | Self-Locking Gong Mount

The T-Post Gong Hanger Set | 3/8" AR500 | Self-Locking Gong Mount gives you a simple way to hang steel gong targets from standard 1.25" or 1.33" T-posts. The set includes two self-locking hangers that slide onto the posts at your preferred height and lock in place under load without set screws or clamps. Attach your chain or rubber mounting hardware, hang the target and you are ready to shoot. T-posts, chain and quick links are sold separately.

Each hanger is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel and is designed for target setups ranging from a 3/8" 8" round gong through a 1/2" 12"x20" silhouette. The two-hanger setup provides a balanced mounting point for a hanging gong while keeping range setup quick and portable. Manufactured in the United States.

Setup

Slide each hanger over a straight, undeformed T-post and position it at the desired height. When the target load is applied, the hanger profile grips the T-post without set screws or clamps. Attach the target using compatible chain or rubber mounting hardware and quick links. To reposition a hanger, remove the target load, lift the hanger enough to release its grip and slide it to the new position.

The 50-yard hanger-system minimum does not replace the shooting-distance requirement for the target itself. Always follow whichever minimum distance is greater for the firearm, ammunition and target combination being used.

Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the hangers, T-posts, chain or rubber straps, quick links and target before every session. Replace any component showing cracking, deformation or excessive wear. Follow the caliber, ammunition and shooting-distance requirements for the specific target installed on the system.

How does the self-locking hanger work?
The hanger profile grips the T-post when the target load is applied. This allows it to hold its position without set screws or clamps. Remove the load and lift the hanger slightly when you need to change its height.

What T-posts are compatible?
The hangers are designed for standard 1.25" and 1.33" steel T-posts. T-post profiles can vary by manufacturer, so confirm proper fit before shooting.

What target sizes can I hang?
The supplied range starts with a 3/8" 8" round gong and extends through a 1/2" 12"x20" silhouette. Do not exceed the stated maximum target size.

Why does the set include two hangers?
The two-hanger configuration provides two suspension points for a gong target, helping keep the hanging setup balanced while still allowing the target to move when hit.

What mounting hardware do I need?
Chain and quick links are not included. Compatible options include the Steel Chain Mounting Kit and the 8" Rubber Chain Gong Target Mounting Kit.

Can I shoot this setup closer than 50 yards?
No. The supplied hanger-system minimum is 50 yards. The target itself may require a greater distance depending on its steel thickness, caliber rating and ammunition, so always follow the greater minimum distance.

• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
