Train for the unexpected. The ShootSteel Polish Plate Rack combines the fast-paced challenge of a traditional plate rack with the unpredictable movement of a spinning target. Eight 8" paddles of CNC laser-cut 3/8" AR500 steel are mounted to a precision-machined rotating beam supported by dual sealed flange bearings. Every successful hit changes the balance of the system, causing the beam to rotate and forcing shooters to constantly adjust sight picture, timing and target transitions.

Built around the same proven hub and Quick-Tune Spring System used on our Texas Star, the Polish Plate Rack delivers smooth, consistent movement while allowing you to fine tune paddle release tension for your preferred ammunition. The Polish Plate Rack begins each stage from a fixed starting position. Start the rotation manually or connect the system to another reactive target, such as our optional 28" Pepper Popper with Base, using rope, paracord, or similar cordage. When the Pepper Popper falls, it releases the Polish Plate Rack to begin rotating, adding another layer of realism and unpredictability to your training.

The entire system is proudly manufactured in the United States using premium American steel. The bolt-together design makes transportation and storage simple while maintaining the durability required for years of hard use. At 135 pounds, the complete target remains stable during rapid-fire drills while breaking down into manageable components for transport.

The Polish Plate Rack rewards accuracy but punishes hesitation. Once the first plate falls, the remaining targets immediately begin moving. Every successful hit changes the weight distribution, causing the rack to rotate in a different direction or speed. Shooters must continuously track moving targets, control recoil and execute fast, accurate follow-up shots.

What is a Polish Plate Rack?
The Polish Plate Rack combines the challenge of a traditional plate rack with the movement of a spinning target. Every time a plate is knocked free, the balance changes, causing the beam to rotate and forcing shooters to engage moving targets throughout the course of fire.

What do the counterweights do?
The removable counterweights provide additional rotational momentum when the target begins moving. As the beam rotates, the weights quickly fall away, changing the balance of the system and creating an exciting transition early in the course of fire. After they're released, the remaining movement is driven by the changing weight distribution as each paddle is knocked free.

What is the Quick-Tune Spring System?
Our proprietary Quick-Tune Spring System allows shooters to adjust the release tension of each paddle. Fine tune the target for lighter 9mm loads or increase tension for heavier handgun calibers to maintain consistent operation.

How does it compare to a Texas Star?
The Polish Plate Rack uses many of the same proven components found on our Texas Star, including the precision hub, sealed bearings and adjustable spring system. Instead of rotating arms, the beam rotates horizontally as plates are removed, creating a completely different shooting experience.

What calibers is it rated for?
The system is designed for centerfire handguns with a maximum rated muzzle velocity of 1,500 fps and maximum impact energy of 500 ft-lbs. Common handgun calibers including 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP and similar cartridges perform well within these limits.

Can I shoot rifles at it?
No. The Polish Plate Rack is engineered specifically for handgun ammunition. Rifle cartridges exceed the designed impact energy and can damage the paddles, bearings and rotating components.

Does it break down for transport?
Yes. The bolt-together design allows the system to be disassembled for transportation and storage while maintaining exceptional rigidity during use.

What do the counterweights do?

How smooth is the rotation?
