1/2" AR500 Static Target Package

The 1/2" AR500 Static Target Package is a complete steel shooting target system with your choice of an 8" round target, 9"x15" silhouette or 12"x20" silhouette. Each configuration includes a 1/2" AR500 target, static target stand, hanger and mounting hardware. The system mounts on a standard wood 2x4 post, giving you a straightforward setup for handgun and rifle training. The 2x4 is not included. Made in the USA.

Each target is precision laser-cut from 1/2" AR500 steel and rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum at the specified minimum shooting distances. The package includes a 1/2" carriage bolt and nut for mounting the target, and assembly requires only basic hand tools. The steel ships unpainted so it can be repainted as needed for visibility and hit tracking.

Assembly

The static stand and hanger are designed for use with a standard wood 2x4 post. Install the target using the included 1/2" carriage bolt and nut, making sure the hardware is properly secured. Assembly requires a 3/4" wrench or adjustable tool. The wood 2x4 is required and not included.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, stand, hanger and mounting hardware before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What calibers is this target package rated for?
The target is rated for all centerfire handgun cartridges and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances. The supplied product information also specifically lists 7mm Mag, .30-06, .300 Mag, .338 Mag and .45-70.

What else do I need to complete the setup?
The target, stand, hanger and target mounting hardware are included. You will need a standard wood 2x4 post, which is not included.

What tools are needed for assembly?

Does this target package ship painted?

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
