1/2" AR500 Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System

The 1/2" AR500 Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System pairs your choice of a 5" round, 8" round, 9"x15" silhouette or 12"x20" silhouette with a patented zinc-plated T-post hanger for a simple, portable steel target setup. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel. The 9"x15" target weighs approximately 16 lbs., while the 12"x20" target weighs approximately 29 lbs. Add a standard steel T-post and you have an all-steel target setup that is easy to install, remove and relocate. T-post not included. Manufactured in the United States.

The patented hanger drops directly over a standard steel T-post, eliminating the need for a wood upright or separate target stand. The system is designed for centerfire handgun and rifle use, including .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor, when used at the proper minimum shooting distances. Keep an extra T-Post Hanger on hand if you want to swap between target sizes or build additional target stations.

Assembly

Mount the selected target to the hanger, then place the hanger over a compatible standard steel T-post and verify that it is securely seated before shooting. The hanger is designed for tool-free installation at the post, making it easy to set up, remove or relocate the target between range sessions. T-post profiles can vary slightly by manufacturer, so confirm proper fit when purchasing posts.

Safety and Usage

These 1/2" AR500 targets are designed for centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges including .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plate, hanger and T-post before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Replace damaged hangers, posts or mounting components before continuing. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

Does this target ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange provide strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
