The Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Steel Target Package | 12"x20" with Upright Stand is a complete, all-steel target system built around a 12"x20" 1/2" Hardox® AR550 static target. The package includes the Upright, All-Steel Target Stand and a slide-lock static target hanger, giving you a durable setup with no wood upright to replace. The complete Shoot Steel system is manufactured in the United States using Swedish-made Hardox® AR550 steel for the target.

The stand uses 1/4" AR400 legs and a 3/8" AR500 upright with a wide base for added stability. Its quick-release base eliminates the need for tools after the initial assembly, making setup and takedown faster at the range. The included slide-lock hanger works with Shoot Steel static-style targets, making it easy to swap compatible plates on the same stand.

Assembly

Initial assembly requires tools, but the quick-release base is designed so routine setup and takedown can be completed without tools afterward. Install the stand, slide the hanger into position and mount the target according to Shoot Steel specifications. The complete system stands approximately 4' tall before the target plate is installed.

Safety and Usage

This 1/2" Hardox® AR550 target is rated for all centerfire handguns and rifles through .300 Win Mag when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle under 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle over 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 150 yards minimum
• Long-action rifles: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting or cratering

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, hanger, upright, legs and base before every session. Replace any target plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace any stand component showing structural damage or excessive wear. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
