The 1/2" Gong Package | Three of a Kind | 9"x15" Silhouette gives you three matching steel shooting targets and the components needed to build a complete three-target range setup. The package includes three 9"x15" silhouette gong targets, three 10" Steel Chain Kits, three Hybrid Hanger Pairs and 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel. Add your own 2x4 lumber and the system is ready to assemble.

Three matching 9"x15" silhouette targets give you consistent aiming references across the rack, making the setup useful for target transitions, cadence drills, defensive pistol training and long-range rifle shooting. The steel chain connects to the Hybrid Hangers without tools, making setup and target changes straightforward. The targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances. Assembly

Build the stand using the included 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets and your own 2x4 lumber. Shoot Steel recommends a crossmember between 48 and 60 inches long and four legs between 60 and 80 inches long. Connect the steel chains to the Hybrid Hangers without tools, then suspend the three 9"x15" silhouette targets from the crossmember.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect plates, chain and all hardware before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What calibers are these targets rated for?
The 1/2" AR500 targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances. Handguns require at least 10 yards. Rifles at or below 3,000 fps require at least 100 yards, while rifles above 3,000 fps require at least 200 yards. .338 Lapua Magnum requires a minimum of 200 yards.

Why use three matching 9"x15" silhouette targets?
Running three targets with the same strike-face size gives you a consistent aiming reference across the rack. That makes the setup useful for practicing transitions, cadence, shot placement and multi-target drills without changing target size between shots.

What lumber do I need?
Use standard 2x4 dimensional lumber. Shoot Steel recommends a 48 to 60 inch crossmember and four legs between 60 and 80 inches long. Lumber is not included.

How does the chain attach to the Hybrid Hangers?
The included steel chain locks into the Hybrid Hangers without tools, simplifying setup and target placement on the crossmember.

Why are the targets CNC laser-cut?
CNC laser-cutting helps control the heat-affected zone around the target perimeter while producing clean, consistent edges.

Does this package ship painted?
No. All Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange offer strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
