The Economy Popper Target Package gives you three AR400 steel poppers ready for centerfire pistol work at a price that makes it easy to stock the whole range. Each 12"x6" popper is a scaled-down version of the classic competition popper design, built from 1/4" AR400 steel with all hardware included. Set them up in a row, run transition drills, reset and go again. Simple, durable and satisfying to shoot. All hardware included. Ships unpainted. Made in the USA.

Assembly

Minor assembly required. All hardware is 1/2" and requires a 3/4" wrench or socket. Use two tools for stands: one to hold the nut, one to tighten the bolt. The carriage bolt shoulder locks into the cutout on the target, so hangers only require a single tool to tighten.

Always use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect targets before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

FAQs

What calibers are these poppers rated for?
Centerfire handguns up to .45 ACP at 10 yards minimum. These poppers are not rated for magnum handgun rounds or any centerfire rifle cartridge. Running rifle rounds or magnum pistol loads on these targets will cause premature damage and creates an unsafe condition.

What is the actual height of the popper including the base?
The popper face is 12" tall and 6" wide. That measurement does not include the height of the base. The total standing height will be taller once assembled with the base.

Can I use these for competition practice?
Yes. The design mirrors the classic popper silhouette used in USPSA and IDPA-style stages, making these a practical tool for working on the target acquisition and transition speed you need in competition. Three poppers in a row is a common stage element and a natural drill for timed practice.

What if I want a popper rated for rifle rounds?

Does this package ship painted?
No. All ShootSteel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange offer the best contrast downrange for tracking hits.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with ShootSteel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to ShootSteel specifications
