Rimfire Economy Popper Steel Target | 1/4" AR400

The Rimfire Economy Popper Steel Target | 1/4" AR400 is a compact 12"x6" steel popper built for rimfire and centerfire handgun training. The target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/4" AR400 steel and mounts to an included spring-loaded base, giving shooters a reactive steel target that stays ready for repeated shots without manually resetting it after every hit. All required 1/2" mounting hardware is included. Manufactured in the United States.

The smaller popper profile works well for pistol drills, rimfire practice and multi-target range setups where you want several reactive target positions without using larger steel systems. The target is rated for .22 LR, .22 WMR and centerfire handguns through .45 ACP at the proper distance. Magnum handgun cartridges and rifle use are not recommended. Assembly

Assembly requires two tools. Use a 3/4" wrench or socket to tighten the bolt while holding the nut with a second wrench or adjustable wrench. No power tools are required.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances and ratings:

• .22 LR and .22 WMR: 10 yards minimum
• Centerfire handgun through .45 ACP: 10 yards minimum
• Magnum handgun cartridges are not recommended
• Rifle use is not recommended

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, spring base and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any component that shows cratering, severe pitting or structural damage. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor target condition. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

Is this target only for rimfire?
No. Despite the Rimfire Economy Popper name, the supplied product rating also includes centerfire handguns through .45 ACP. It can be used for common handgun cartridges within that rating and at the proper minimum distance.

Does the target need to be manually reset?
No. The target mounts to a spring-loaded base that keeps the plate ready for repeated shooting without walking downrange to manually reset it after each hit.

What tools do I need for assembly?
You need two tools: a 3/4" wrench or socket for the bolt and a second wrench to hold the nut. Adjustable wrenches can also be used.

Does the 12" height include the base?
No. The 12" measurement applies to the target plate only. The spring base adds additional height below the target.

Why does this target use 1/4" AR400 steel?
The 1/4" AR400 plate is matched to this target's rimfire and handgun application. Shooters using higher-powered cartridges should select a target specifically rated for those loads.

Does this target ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint and bright orange target paint provide strong downrange contrast for tracking hits and monitoring target condition.

Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR400 steel.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
