3/8" AR500 22" Static Classic Popper

The 3/8" AR500 22" Static Classic Popper combines a hardened steel target with a spring-loaded base for continuous pistol and rifle training without a manual reset. The round target plate is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel and mounts to a domestic 1/4" AR400 hardened steel base using high-strength die springs. The springs absorb impact energy while keeping the target upright and providing audible feedback with every hit. Made in the USA.

The static design stays in position when struck rather than falling or requiring a reset. High-strength die springs help reduce the impact transferred into the base and mounting hardware during repeated use. Two high-strength mounting bolts and all required assembly hardware are included. The target is rated for centerfire handguns and centerfire rifles through .223/5.56 based on the product's stated rating. The target ships unpainted.

Assembly

The Static Classic Popper ships ready to assemble. Attach the target plate to the spring-loaded base using the two included high-strength bolts and supplied mounting hardware. Verify that all hardware is secure before shooting.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Centerfire rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Centerfire rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plate, springs, base and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any component that shows cratering, severe pitting or structural damage. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What does "static" mean on this target?

• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
