3/8" AR500 Self-Defense Pistol Target Package

The 3/8" AR500 Self-Defense Pistol Target Package combines two steel target profiles and a vitals stencil for defensive pistol drills, accuracy work and structured range training. The package includes one 12"x20" silhouette target, one 5.9"x11" A-Zone target, one 12"x17" vitals stencil and two zinc-plated T-post static hangers. Both targets are CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel and made in the USA.

The 5.9"x11" A-Zone provides a focused center-mass aiming area, while the 12"x17" stencil adds a 5"x8" center-mass zone and 1.5"x3.25" upper triangle to the full-size silhouette. Together, the two target profiles allow shooters to move between larger defensive shooting drills and tighter accuracy standards. The targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and short-action rifles through .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor at the proper minimum shooting distances.

Assembly

Install the included static hangers on standard agricultural T-posts and mount the target plates using the included 1/2" hardware. Verify the targets, hangers, posts and hardware are secure before shooting.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Maximum rated cartridges: .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plates, hangers, posts and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

You need standard steel T-posts to complete the included T-post setup. The posts are not included.

Do the targets ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint provides strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
