3/8" AR500 Static Target Package

The 3/8" AR500 Static Target Package gives you a complete static steel target setup with your choice of five target sizes: 8" round, 10" round, 12" round, 9"x15" silhouette or 12"x20" silhouette. Each package includes one 3/8" AR500 target, one static target stand, one static target hanger and all mounting hardware. The target is CNC laser-cut from domestic AR500 steel. Just add a standard 2x4 upright to complete the setup. Made in the USA.

The 3/8" AR500 target is rated for all centerfire handguns and short-action rifles through .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor at the proper minimum shooting distances. Assembly

Install the static target stand and hanger on a standard 2x4 upright, then attach the target using the included 1/2" carriage bolt, lock nut and proprietary compression spring. A 3/4" wrench or socket and a second wrench to hold the nut are required. The hanger uses a cutout that holds the carriage bolt in place during assembly.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Maximum rated cartridges: .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

For rifle use, stake the stand to help minimize movement between shots. Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, hanger, stand, 2x4 and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace damaged system components before continuing. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What mounting hardware is included?
The package includes a 1/2" carriage bolt, lock nut and proprietary compression spring for mounting the target to the static hanger.

Does this target ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint provides strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
