How many spikes do I need per stand?
Two spikes per stand is the recommended minimum. A four-pack covers two stands fully or gives you two primary spikes plus two spares for field replacements.
What soil types do these work in?
These spikes are compatible with most soil types including packed dirt, clay and loam. Rocky or extremely hard-packed ground may require a hammer or mallet to drive them to full depth. Loose or sandy soil may require additional anchoring.
What stands are these compatible with?
These spikes are compatible with all ShootSteel target stands and spring poppers that include ground spike ports in the base.
Why galvanized instead of standard steel?
Galvanized coating provides a zinc barrier that resists rust and corrosion from soil moisture and weather exposure. Standard steel spikes left in the ground between sessions corrode quickly and weaken at the point where they matter most. Galvanized spikes hold up through extended outdoor use without degrading.
