The Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Steel Targets | PPT Starter Bundle gives you three target sizes in one package: a 12"x20" silhouette, an 8" round and a 5" round. Recommended by Pew Pew Tactical as a starter setup for steel shooting, the bundle gives you multiple aiming areas for accuracy work, target transitions and general range training. Each target is CNC laser-cut from Swedish-made 1/2" Hardox® AR550 steel and manufactured in the United States.
Hardox® AR550 is harder than AR500 and provides increased resistance to pitting and surface deformation, particularly with higher-velocity rifle impacts such as .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO. Each target has a mounting hole designed for 1/2" carriage-bolt hardware and can be used with compatible steel posts, 2x4 mounting systems or target stands. Grade 5 or stronger mounting hardware is recommended and is not included.

Mounting
Each target is designed to accept 1/2" carriage-bolt hardware and can be mounted to a compatible steel post, 2x4 system or target stand. Grade 5 or stronger mounting hardware is recommended. Mounting hardware and supporting structures are not included.
Safety and Usage
These 1/2" Hardox® AR550 targets are rated for all centerfire handguns and rifles through .300 Win Mag when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.
Minimum shooting distances:
- Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
- Rifle under 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
- Rifle over 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 150 yards minimum
- Long-action rifles: 200 yards minimum
- Increase distance any time you observe pitting or cratering
Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the plate and mounting system before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.
