Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Static Target Package

The Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Static Target Package gives you a complete steel target setup with your choice of three target sizes: 8" round, 9"x15" silhouette or 12"x20" silhouette. Each package includes the selected target, Static Target Stand, Static Target Hanger, compression spring and mounting hardware. Supply a standard 2x4 upright and you have a complete stand-mounted target system for handgun and rifle training.

Each target is CNC laser-cut from Swedish-made 1/2" Hardox® AR550 steel for increased resistance to pitting and surface deformation. The included compression spring helps absorb impact energy and reduce stress on the mounting hardware. The complete Shoot Steel target system is manufactured in the United States using Swedish-made Hardox® AR550 steel.

Assembly

Assemble the stand using the included 1/2" hardware, install the Static Target Hanger and mount the selected target with the carriage bolt and compression spring. Tighten the hardware using a 3/4" wrench or adjustable wrench, then insert a standard 2x4 upright into the stand.

Safety and Usage

This 1/2" Hardox® AR550 target package is rated for all centerfire handguns and rifles through .300 Win Mag when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle under 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle over 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 150 yards minimum
• Long-action rifles: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting or cratering

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, hanger, spring, stand and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace any component showing damage or excessive wear. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
