Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Triple Plate Gong Target System

This AR550 gong target system delivers a complete long-range steel shooting setup featuring (3) 9"x15" static plates cut from Hardox® 1/2" AR550 steel. Designed for durability, consistency and fast setup, this package includes everything needed to build a stable, multi-target gong-style training system using standard 2x4 lumber.

Each target is CNC laser-cut from Hardox® AR550 steel for superior hardness, edge consistency and reduced pitting compared to conventional steel. The system is designed for high-volume rifle and pistol use, delivering reliable feedback and long service life under repeated impact.

The included 10" steel chain integrates tool-free with Hybrid Hangers, allowing fast target installation and removal. The package also includes a 2x4 gong stand bracket, enabling a complete freestanding setup using standard lumber available at any hardware store. For best results, cut the crossmember to 48–60 inches and use (4) legs cut between 60–80 inches depending on desired height and stability.

Built for serious shooting applications, this system is rated for all centerfire handgun cartridges and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum at 200 yards minimum. Targets ship unpainted. Manufactured in the United States.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect all components before each session and replace any part showing deformation, cracking or excessive wear. Do not use steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.
