1/2" AR500 Steel Target Gong Package

The 1/2" AR500 Steel Target Gong Package is a complete rifle-rated target setup built around a 10" round gong. The package includes a CNC laser-cut 1/2" AR500 steel target, 10" heavy-duty steel chain, fence post hangers, stencil, paint and mounting hardware. You only need two compatible fence posts to complete the setup. The target is made from domestic AR500 steel and rated for all centerfire handgun cartridges and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances. Made in the USA.

The 10" gong is CNC laser-cut from 1/2" AR500 steel for a clean, consistent target profile. The mounting system uses 3/8" Grade 100 chain, 3/8" quick links and 1/2" hardware. The fence post hangers are made from 3/8" AR500 steel. This package is well suited for handgun training and rifle cartridges including 7mm Mag, .30-06, .300 Mag, .338 Mag and .45-70. Assembly

Mount the 10" gong using the included chain, quick links, fence post hangers and mounting hardware. Install the hangers on two compatible fence posts and suspend the target between them using the supplied chain. All target mounting hardware is included.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, chain, hangers and mounting hardware before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
