Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System

The Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System pairs your choice of a 5" round, 8" round, 9"x15" silhouette or 12"x20" silhouette with a patented T-post hanger for a simple, portable steel target setup. The 9"x15" silhouette weighs approximately 16 lb, while the 12"x20" silhouette weighs approximately 28 lb. The hanger drops onto a standard steel T-post without tools, making it easy to set up, remove and relocate targets around the range. T-post sold separately.

Each target is CNC laser-cut from Swedish-made 1/2" Hardox® AR550 steel for increased resistance to pitting and surface deformation, particularly with higher-velocity rifle impacts. The complete Shoot Steel system is manufactured in the United States using Swedish-made Hardox® AR550 steel for the target. All four target sizes are rated for centerfire handguns and rifles through .300 Win Mag when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.

Setup

Install a standard steel T-post at your desired target location, then drop the T-Post Hanger onto the post and mount the selected target. The hanger is designed for quick setup without tools at the post. Because T-post profiles can vary slightly by manufacturer, confirm proper hanger fit before shooting.

Safety and Usage

This 1/2" Hardox® AR550 target system is rated for all centerfire handguns and rifles through .300 Win Mag when used at the proper minimum shooting distance.

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle under 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle over 2,800 fps muzzle velocity: 150 yards minimum
• Long-action rifles: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting or cratering

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target, hanger and T-post before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Replace damaged posts or mounting components before use. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
