1/2" Economy Precision 3 - Gong Complete Target Package

The 1/2" Economy Precision 3-Gong Complete Target Package gives you three different steel target sizes in one complete range setup. The package includes 4", 6" and 8" round gong targets, three 10" steel chain kits, Hybrid Gong Hangers and a 2x4 Gong Stand Bracket. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 1/2" AR500 steel and rated for all centerfire handgun cartridges and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum when used at the specified minimum shooting distances. Add your own 2x4 lumber and you have the components needed to build the target stand.

The three target sizes give you progressively smaller aiming areas for precision work while also creating a multi-target setup for transitions between shots. Assembly

Build the stand using the included 2x4 Gong Stand Bracket and your own 2x4 lumber. Shoot Steel recommends cutting the crossbeam to 48 to 60 inches long and cutting four legs between 60 and 80 inches long. The product photo uses 60" legs. Connect the steel chain to the Hybrid Gong Hangers and suspend the 4", 6" and 8" gong targets from the crossbeam.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the plates, chains, hangers and stand before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

Why are there three different gong sizes?
The 4", 6" and 8" targets let you change target difficulty within the same setup. Use the smaller plates for tighter precision work and the larger plates for faster transitions or increased visibility.

Why are the targets CNC laser-cut?
CNC laser-cutting helps limit the heat-affected zone around the target perimeter while producing clean, consistent edges.

Does this package ship painted?
No. All Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. Shoot Steel Target Paint can be used to improve visibility and make impacts easier to track.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
