3/8" AR500 A-Zone Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System

The 3/8" AR500 A-Zone Steel Target and T-Post Hanger System combines a 5.9"x11" A-Zone target with a patented zinc-plated T-post hanger system for a compact steel target setup. The A-Zone dimensions mirror the IPSC scoring zone, giving you a focused aiming reference for defensive pistol training, USPSA and IDPA practice and high-round-count carbine drills. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel and made in the USA.

The hanger mounts to a standard steel T-post, creating a simple range setup without a wood upright. The target is rated for all centerfire handguns and short-action rifle cartridges through .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor at the proper minimum shooting distances. For an all-steel alternative to a T-post setup, pair the target with the Upright, All-Steel Target Stand. To help protect a T-post from low impacts, add the 20" T-Post Protector.

Assembly

Install the patented hanger on a compatible standard steel T-post and mount the A-Zone plate using the included Grade 5 or higher 1/2" carriage bolt hardware. Verify the target, hanger, post and hardware are secure before shooting. T-post profiles can vary slightly by manufacturer, so confirm fit when selecting posts.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plate, hanger, T-post and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace damaged mounting components before continuing. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
