The 3/8" AR500 22"x30" Complete Gong Package gives you the core components needed to build a large-format steel target system, with only standard 2x4 lumber required to complete the stand. The package includes a 22"x30" rectangle gong target, 15" Steel Chain Mounting Kit, Hybrid Hanger Pair and 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets. The target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel and provides a large full-torso strike face for rifle and pistol training. Made in the USA.
The 22"x30" target weighs approximately 72 lbs. unpainted and uses two 1/2" laser-cut mounting holes. The included chain and Hybrid Hangers allow the target to move on impact for visible and audible feedback. Add a standard 2x4 crossmember and four 2x4 legs to complete the freestanding gong target system.

Assembly
- Cut a standard 2x4 crossmember to 48-60"
- Cut four 2x4 legs to 60-80"
- Assemble the stand using the included 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets
- Install the Hybrid Hangers and 15" steel chain
- Hang the 22"x30" gong target and verify the system is secure before shooting
Safety and Usage
Minimum shooting distances:
- Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
- Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity, including .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor: 100 yards minimum
- Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
- Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face
Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plate, chain, hangers, stand brackets and lumber before every session. Replace any component that shows damage, and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

- Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
