The 3/8" AR500 Steel Round Targets with T-Post Hangers combine your choice of 5" or 8" round steel targets with patented zinc-plated T-post hangers for a simple, portable range setup. Choose the 5" targets for a smaller precision-focused strike area or the 8" targets for a larger aiming point and faster transitions. Each target is CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel. Standard steel T-posts are required and not included. Made in the USA.

The patented hanger mounts to the target and drops directly over a standard steel T-post, allowing targets to be installed, removed or repositioned without tools at the post. Both 3/8" AR500 target sizes are rated for all centerfire handguns and short-action rifles through .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor at the proper minimum shooting distances. Assembly

Attach each target to its patented hanger using Grade 5 or higher 1/2" mounting hardware, then slide the hanger over a compatible standard steel T-post. No tools are required at the post itself, making targets easy to remove or reposition between drills. T-post profiles can vary slightly by manufacturer, so confirm fit before purchasing a large number of posts.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Maximum rated cartridges: .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the targets, hangers, T-posts and mounting hardware before every session. Replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting and replace damaged mounting components before continuing. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What is the difference between the 5" and 8" targets?
The 5" target provides a smaller strike area for more demanding precision work. The 8" target provides a larger aiming point for general pistol and rifle training, faster target acquisition and transition drills.

What calibers are these targets rated for?

How does the T-post hanger system work?

Is the mounting hardware included?
No. The supplied product information lists Grade 5 or higher 1/2" mounting hardware as required but not included. Standard steel T-posts are also not included.

Do the targets ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint provides strong contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
