The 50 BMG Gong Mounting Kit provides the hardware needed to hang big-bore steel targets from the Complete 60" HD Gong Stand. The kit includes two reinforced rubber chains, 5/8" target mounting hardware and quick links for a complete two-target hanging setup. Each rubber chain measures 16" hole to hole and 18" overall. This mounting kit is made in the USA.
The reinforced rubber chain is designed to absorb some of the extreme impact energy generated by 50 BMG, .416 Barrett and .408 CheyTac, reducing shock transferred into the mounting points while allowing the target to swing freely on impact. Standard steel chain transfers more of that impact directly into the links and hardware, which can accelerate wear under big-bore use. Assembly
Attach the rubber chains to the Complete 60" HD Gong Stand using the included quick links, then mount the target plates using the included 5/8" bolts, Nylock nuts and washers. Verify both targets, rubber chains, quick links and mounting hardware are secure before shooting.
Safety and Usage
Minimum shooting distances by cartridge:
- 50 BMG ball and brass solids: 300 yards minimum
- 50 BMG AP and API: not rated
- .416 Barrett and .408 CheyTac lead-core: 300 yards minimum
- .416 Barrett and .408 CheyTac brass solids: 400 yards minimum
Never shoot closer than the recommended minimum distance for your cartridge. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the target plates, rubber chains, quick links, stand and all mounting hardware before every session. Replace any component that shows deformation, cracking or excessive wear. Replace any target plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint targets regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No armor-piercing, API or steel-core ammunition.
