The Slide-Lock Static Target Hanger lets you swap targets on the Short Range Rifle Steel Target Stand without tools. Keep one hanger per target plate and changing your setup at the range is as fast as sliding one plate off and another on. No wrenches, no hardware to manage between drills, no downtime.

The hanger is CNC laser-cut from 3/8" AR500 for the same durability as the stand itself, and comes with all necessary mounting hardware and a 2" die spring that absorbs high-energy impacts and maintains rigidity under sustained rifle fire. Compatible with the Short Range Rifle Steel Target Stand Slide-Lock system only. This hanger is not compatible with the Short Range Rifle Stand without swapping the upright to the static version. Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances are determined by the target plate used with this hanger. Always inspect the hanger, die spring and all hardware before every session. Replace any component that shows cracking, deformation or wear. Follow standard ShootSteel minimum distance guidelines for your cartridge and target combination.

FAQs

Why get a separate hanger for each target plate?
With one hanger per plate, swapping targets at the range requires no tools and no hardware adjustments. Slide the current plate off, slide the next one on and keep shooting. If you are running multiple target sizes or switching between pistol and rifle plates during a session, dedicated hangers per plate eliminate the only step that would otherwise slow you down.

Is this hanger compatible with all ShootSteel stands?
No. This hanger is designed specifically for the Slide-Lock system on the Short Range Rifle Steel Target Stand with the static upright installed. It is not compatible with the Short Range Rifle Stand configuration without first swapping to the static upright version.

Why 3/8" AR500 for the hanger?
The hanger sits directly behind the target plate and is exposed to splash and secondary impacts that miss the plate face. 3/8" AR500 gives the hanger the same impact resistance as the target plates it holds, so it survives the same fire without degrading or deforming over time.

What does the die spring do?
The 2" die spring sits between the hanger and the upright, absorbing the shock energy of high-velocity rifle impacts and returning the assembly to its stable position for fast follow-up shots. It also reduces stress transferred to the stand's upright under sustained fire, extending the service life of the whole system.
