Hardox® 1/2" AR550 Speed Rack

The Hardox® 1/2" AR500 Speed Rack Target System delivers a complete, portable plate rack setup designed for high-volume pistol training and rifle use at appropriate distances. Built with (5) 8" round Hardox® steel targets, this system provides consistent feedback, fast target transitions and long-term durability under repeated impact.

Each target is CNC laser-cut from Hardox® steel for superior hardness and resistance to pitting, especially when used with higher velocity rifle rounds. The included speed rack hangers allow each plate to slide onto a 2x4 crossmember, creating a stable, responsive shooting system that is easy to assemble, transport and customize.

The system is supported by 40" EMT conduit legs, positioning the targets approximately 24" off the ground for an ideal shooting height. With all mounting hardware included, you only need to supply a standard 2x4 crossmember to complete your setup. Ships unpainted. Manufactured in the United States.

Assembly Notes

Performance and Use

This speed rack is ideal for dynamic shooting drills, target transitions and timed practice. The multiple-plate layout allows shooters to engage several targets in sequence, making it a popular choice for instructors, clubs and competitive shooters.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle up to .300 Win Mag: 100 yards minimum
• Rifles above 2800 fps muzzle velocity: 150 yards minimum
• Long action rifles: 200 yards minimum

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect all components before each session and replace any part showing damage or excessive wear. Do not use steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What is Hardox® and how does it compare to AR500?
