Rigid Conduit Double Gong Stand Kit

The Rigid Conduit Double Gong Stand Kit adds a second target hang point to your existing Rigid Conduit Single Gong Stand Kit. Two targets on one crossmember cuts your setup footprint in half, reduces time between strings and builds a natural transition drill into the stand itself. This kit is also compatible with existing EMT stand kits since the side plates and pins are identical across both versions. Only the lock collars and gong mounts differ, which is exactly what this kit provides. You can continue using EMT conduit for the legs to keep overall weight down. Designed specifically for 1" rigid conduit only. Will not work with EMT, standard plumbing pipe or any other conduit size. For hanging hardware, pair with the Steel Chain Mounting Kit or the Rubber Chain Mounting Kit. Conduit not included.

Assembly Requirements

• Cut rigid conduit to desired crossmember length to accommodate two target positions
• Measure 1.5" from each tube end and mark drill point
• Drill one 5/16" hole per tube end
• Deburr all cut ends before assembly

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances are determined by the target plates used with this stand. Maximum supported target weight is 75 lb per position. Maximum rated cartridge is .338 Lapua Magnum. Do not exceed either rating. Always inspect all bracket hardware and conduit before every session. Replace any component that shows deformation, cracking or wear. Follow standard ShootSteel minimum distance guidelines for your cartridge and target combination. Always use quality eye and ear protection.

FAQs

Do I need the Single Gong Stand Kit to use this?
Yes. This kit only includes the additional stop collars and gong mounts for the second target position. The base stand hardware from the Rigid Conduit Single Gong Stand Kit is required to complete the full double stand.

Can I use this kit to upgrade an existing EMT stand?
Yes. The side plates and pins on the EMT and rigid conduit stand versions are identical. The only components that differ are the lock collars and gong mounts, which is exactly what this kit provides. You can use your existing EMT side plates and pins, add this kit and continue using EMT conduit for the legs to keep the overall stand weight down.

Why does this kit require rigid conduit instead of EMT?
Rigid conduit has significantly thicker walls than EMT at the same inside diameter. That wall thickness gives the crossmember the structural load capacity needed to support two hanging targets and absorb the combined vibration energy of both under fire. The gong mount collars are specifically sized for 1" rigid conduit and will not fit EMT or other conduit types.

What hanging hardware do I need?
Chain and quick links are not included. Compatible options are the Steel Chain Mounting Kit and the Rubber Chain Mounting Kit.
