Steel Challenge "5 To Go" Target Package

The Steel Challenge "5 To Go" Target Package gives you the five steel targets needed to set up the official SCSA Steel Challenge 5 To Go classifier stage. The package includes four 10" round targets and one 12" round target, all CNC laser-cut from domestic 3/8" AR500 steel. Choose Targets Only or Add Static Hangers and Heavy Duty Stands depending on how complete you want your setup. Manufactured in the United States.

The five-target layout lets you practice transitions, accuracy and speed on the same target sizes used for the 5 To Go stage. The complete stand option adds five Static Target Hangers and five Heavy Duty Static Stands designed for 2x4 uprights. Customer-supplied 2x4 lumber lets you set the round targets to the proper height for your terrain and shooting position.

Setup

When using the stand package, install the Heavy Duty Static Stands, add customer-supplied 2x4 uprights and mount the targets using the included Static Target Hangers. For the 5 To Go stage, the supplied description specifies the round targets at 5' to the top of the target as viewed from the shooting box. Refer to the SCSA rulebook for the complete stage layout, spacing and current competition requirements.

Safety and Usage

This package uses 3/8" AR500 steel targets.

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the plates, hangers, stands and mounting hardware before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition. Follow applicable SCSA range and stage safety rules when practicing Steel Challenge.

What lumber do I need with the stand package?
The Heavy Duty Static Stands use standard 2x4 uprights. The lumber is not included, allowing you to cut each upright to the height required for your range and stage layout.

How can I protect the 2x4 uprights?
The optional 20" 2x4 Protector Plates can be added to help protect exposed lumber from low hits.

Does this package ship painted?
No. Shoot Steel targets ship unpainted. White target paint and bright orange target paint provide strong contrast for tracking impacts.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. This product is manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.

• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
