The self-healing rubber is designed to take direct hits while continuing to support the target, making it a practical replacement for worn straps. The 8" rubber strap creates a highly reactive target that swings back on impact. For a 2x4 setup, drill a mounting hole with enough clearance underneath for the rubber strap to move freely. Keep the strap flush against the 2x4 to promote consistent front-to-back movement and reduce unwanted sideways shifting. Rubber straps are wear components and should be replaced as bullet splash gradually damages the material.

For an all-wood gong stand, pair the hanger with 2x4 Gong Stand Brackets. If you want conduit legs with a 2x4 crossmember, use 2x4 Hybrid Stand Brackets. Conduit legs provide an alternative to wood legs for repeated range use.
