Static Steel Target Stands

The Static Steel Target Stands give you three ways to build a stable Shoot Steel static target setup. Choose the T-Post Static Target Stand, 2x4 Static Target Stand or Heavy Duty 2x4 Static Target Stand based on your range conditions, target size and preferred support system. Each configuration is designed to work with Shoot Steel static target hangers and provides a consistent base for steel target practice.

The stands are built from steel and zinc-plated for weather resistance. The Heavy Duty 2x4 version uses 1/4" steel legs and a wider, reinforced design for larger or heavier target setups. All three configurations use 1/2" hardware where applicable and are manufactured in the United States.

Choose Your Configuration

• T-Post Static Target Stand: Accepts a standard T-post and is a practical option when you want a portable setup without driving the post directly into the ground.
• 2x4 Static Target Stand: Uses a 2x4 upright for a simple static target setup with a broad, stable base.
• Heavy Duty 2x4 Static Target Stand: Uses a reinforced, wider base with 1/4" steel legs for larger or heavier static target setups.

Assembly

1. Assemble the stand components using the included 1/2" hardware.
2. Install the required T-post or 2x4 upright for your selected stand.
3. Attach a compatible Shoot Steel static target hanger.
4. Mount the target and confirm the stand is level and secure before shooting.

Typical assembly takes about two minutes once the required support, hanger and target are ready.

Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distance and caliber compatibility are determined by the target plate used with the stand. Follow the ammunition, caliber and distance requirements for the specific Shoot Steel target installed on the system.

Inspect the stand, hanger, hardware, support post or lumber and target before every session. Replace any component showing cracking, deformation or structural wear. Make sure the stand is stable on the terrain and secure it appropriately when conditions require additional support. Always use quality eye and ear protection.

Which Static Steel Target Stand should I choose?
Choose the T-Post Static Target Stand if you want a portable setup using a standard T-post. Choose the 2x4 Static Target Stand for a standard 2x4-based setup. Choose the Heavy Duty 2x4 Static Target Stand when you need the wider reinforced base for a larger or heavier target setup.

What is the difference between the 2x4 and Heavy Duty 2x4 stands?
The Heavy Duty 2x4 version uses a wider reinforced design and 1/4" steel legs to provide additional support for larger or heavier target plates.

Do the stands include the target and hanger?
No. The selected stand and applicable mounting hardware are included. The target, static target hanger and required T-post or 2x4 support are not included.

Do I have to drive the T-post into the ground?
No. The T-Post Static Target Stand is designed so a standard T-post can be placed into the stand rather than driven directly into the ground.

How long does assembly take?
The supplied description lists approximately two minutes for assembly once the required post or lumber, hanger and target are available.

Are the stands weather resistant?
Yes. The stands are zinc-plated for weather resistance.

What targets work with these stands?
These stands are designed for Shoot Steel static target systems. Target size, thickness, caliber rating and minimum shooting distance are determined by the specific target and hanger used with the stand.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. These target stands are manufactured in the United States.

• Target plates: covered against manufacturing and material defects for 90 days from date of delivery
• Welds: covered for 1 year from date of delivery
• Coverage includes weld integrity, materials and workmanship

Commercial and Range Use

• All components: covered against manufacturing and material defects for 90 days from date of purchase
• Coverage includes weld integrity, materials and workmanship
• Normal wear, pitting, cratering and target face degradation are not covered

To qualify for warranty coverage, targets must be used and maintained in accordance with Shoot Steel safety and distance guidelines, including:

• No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition
• Minimum recommended distances observed at all times
• Target mounted to Shoot Steel specifications
