The base is CNC-cut mild steel with a zinc-plated finish that resists rust for year-round outdoor use. The 20" base length and 18" wide stance provide the stability needed for sustained rapid-fire without shifting between strings. For a complete paper practice kit, pair with our IDPA cardboard targets. This stand is designed for paper and cardboard targets only and is not rated for steel plates. Can I use this stand with steel targets?
No. This stand is designed for paper and cardboard targets only. For steel plate setups, see our static target stands and gong stands.
What uprights do I need?
Standard 2x2 dimensional lumber available at any hardware or home improvement store. Cut to your preferred height. Two uprights are required per stand. Not included.
Why steel base instead of plastic or wire?
Plastic feet crack under repeated recoil vibration and cold weather. Wire frames flex and tip under rapid-fire strings. The steel base holds its position and geometry through sustained use on any surface without maintenance or replacement.
What targets fit this stand?
