Combo Stand

The ShootSteel Combo Stand is the only target stand that handles both static steel and cardboard silhouettes without swapping hardware. Drop a 2x4 into the center channel for a static target and hanger setup, or slide 2x2 furring strips into the side channels to hold 18" cardboard targets. Switch between disciplines in seconds with no extra hardware, no adapters and no additional stands taking up truck space. Precision-cut, zinc-plated steel construction resists rust and holds its geometry through sustained range use. Accepts standard lumber available at any hardware store. Made in the USA.

Quick Assembly

• Insert the 1/2" bolts through the pre-cut holes
• Tighten bolt and nut with two 3/4" wrenches or adjustable wrenches
• Drop in your 2x4 or 2x2 uprights and start shooting

Safety and Usage

When used with steel targets, minimum shooting distances are determined by the target plate and hanger combination. This stand is designed for paper, cardboard and static steel targets only. It is not rated for gong or swinging targets. Always use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect the stand and all hardware before every session.

How does the Combo Stand switch between steel and cardboard use?
The stand has two channel types built into the same base. The center channel accepts a standard 2x4 upright for use with a static target hanger and steel plate. The side channels accept 2x2 furring strips that hold 18" cardboard silhouettes. Switching between configurations takes seconds and requires no tools or additional hardware beyond swapping the lumber upright.

What cardboard targets fit this stand?
The side channels accept 2x2 uprights spaced for 18" wide cardboard targets, including official IDPA and IPSC cardboard and ShootSteel 18"x30" Training Targets.

What static steel targets work with this stand?
Any ShootSteel static target plate that mounts via a compatible hanger will work with the 2x4 center channel. Pair with the Static Target Hanger for tool-free target swaps.

Does this stand work for gong or hanging targets?
No. The Combo Stand is designed for static steel plates and cardboard silhouettes. For gong and hanging targets, see our conduit and EMT gong stands.

What lumber do I need?
A standard 2x4 stud for steel target use and standard 2x2 furring strips for cardboard use. Both are available at any hardware or home improvement store. Cut to your preferred height. Not included.
