The 1/2" AR500 10" Gong and T-Post Hanger 2-Pack is a complete two-target setup that slips onto any standard steel T-post with no chains, stands or additional hardware required. Two 10" half-inch AR500 gongs and two T-Post Gong Hanger pairs give you instant ear-ringing feedback on every hit, all the way up to .338 Lapua Magnum at 200 yards minimum. Each plate is CNC laser-cut from domestic AR500 steel for consistent hardness, true edges and controlled splatter. Safety and Usage

Minimum shooting distances:

• Centerfire handgun: 10 yards minimum
• Rifle at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 100 yards minimum
• Rifle above 3,000 fps muzzle velocity: 200 yards minimum
• .338 Lapua Magnum: 200 yards minimum
• Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face

Always shoot perpendicular to the target face. Use at least Grade 5 mounting hardware. Use quality eye and ear protection. Inspect plates before every session and replace any plate that shows cratering or severe pitting. Repaint regularly to track impacts and monitor surface health. No steel-core, armor-piercing or tracer ammunition.

What calibers are these targets rated for?
All centerfire handguns at 10 yards minimum and rifle cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum at 200 yards minimum. For rifles at or below 3,000 fps muzzle velocity, 100 yards minimum is the starting point. Increase distance any time you observe pitting on the target face.

Do I need a stand or chain to use the T-Post Gong Hangers?
No. The T-Post Gong Hanger pairs slide directly onto any standard steel T-post. All you need are T-posts in the ground and chain to hang the gongs from the hangers. No additional stand hardware is required.

Why 10" for this pack?
The 10" diameter is one of the most versatile gong sizes available. It is large enough to give clear audible feedback at extended rifle distances and precise enough to reward accurate pistol shooting at closer range. Two 10" plates side by side also creates a natural two-target transition drill without requiring additional equipment.

What chain do I need?
Chain is not included. The 15" Steel Chain Mounting Kit is a complete solution for this setup. The Rubber Chain Mounting Kit is also compatible if a quieter hanging option is preferred.

Why CNC laser-cut instead of plasma-cut?
CNC laser-cutting controls the heat-affected zone more precisely than plasma cutting, preserving hardness at the plate edge. The result is a cleaner perimeter, longer plate life and more predictable splatter behavior on impact.

Does this pack ship painted?
No. All ShootSteel targets ship unpainted. White and bright orange offer the best contrast downrange for tracking hits.

Is this product made in the United States?
Yes. These targets are manufactured in the United States from domestic AR500 steel.
