Complete 60" HD Gong Stand

The Complete 60" HD Gong Stand is the most capable gong stand in the ShootSteel lineup. Built from four 60" lengths of 1.25" EMT conduit legs and a 60" crossmember cut from 2" EMT, this stand handles even the largest and heaviest ShootSteel targets without flex or instability. The 2" EMT crossmember is large enough to hang two targets simultaneously when paired with the 2" EMT Double Gong Stand Kit. The tightest two-target configuration it supports is an 18"x30" and 12"x20" in 3/4" steel. Designed specifically for targets 22"x30" and larger. Ships unpainted. Made in the USA.

The laser-cut gong mounts are free to rotate around the crossmember, which prevents chain from binding or tangling under heavy loads. The stand breaks down quickly using the supplied locking pins for transport and storage. For chain and mounting hardware, pair with the 15" Steel Chain Mounting Kit or the Rubber Chain Mounting Kit. We recommend steel chain for larger gong targets.

Note: The conduit legs are FedEx oversized items and will likely arrive 2-3 days after the hardware box. Please allow up to 5 additional days before contacting us about delivery. Conduit ships as bare metal with padded ends and may have minor cosmetic dings from transit. This does not affect function in any way.

Minimum shooting distances are determined by the target plate used with this stand. Always inspect all hardware, conduit and locking pins before every session. Replace any component that shows deformation, cracking or wear. Follow standard ShootSteel minimum distance guidelines for your cartridge and target combination. Always use quality eye and ear protection.

What size targets is this stand designed for?
This stand is designed for targets 22"x30" and larger. The 60" legs and 60" crossmember provide the height and span needed to hang large-format plates with adequate ground clearance. It can support two targets simultaneously when paired with the 2" EMT Double Gong Stand Kit.

Can I hang two targets on this stand?
Yes, with the 2" EMT Double Gong Stand Kit added. The included hardware supports one target hang point. The crossmember is sized to accommodate two targets, with the tightest supported combination being an 18"x30" and 12"x20" in 3/4" steel.

Why does the stand use two different conduit sizes?
The 2" EMT crossmember provides the diameter and wall strength needed to support the weight and impact energy of large, heavy gong targets across the full crossmember span. The 1.25" EMT legs handle the vertical load efficiently at lighter weight, keeping the overall stand portable without sacrificing structural capacity.

Why do the gong mounts spin freely?
Free-rotating mounts allow the chain and target to move naturally on impact without binding or twisting. Under heavy loads and repeated impacts, fixed mounts cause chain to kink and tangle over time. The rotating design eliminates that problem and extends the service life of the chain and mounting hardware.

What chain should I use with larger targets?
We recommend steel chain for larger gong targets. See the 15" Steel Chain Mounting Kit for a complete solution. The Rubber Chain Mounting Kit is also compatible for setups where reduced noise transfer is preferred.

Why might the conduit have minor cosmetic marks?
The conduit legs are oversized freight items and ship as bare metal with padded ends. Minor cosmetic dings or dents from transit are possible and do not affect the structural performance or function of the stand in any way.
