Description
Built for fast setups and consistent performance. The ⅜” AR500 Steel Round Target is a versatile option for pistol and carbine training, rated for most handguns and short-action rifle rounds up to 6.8 SPC and .30-30 when used as directed. Available in 5″, 8″, 10″ or 12″ diameters, it delivers solid feedback and reliable durability for everyday range use.
Each plate is CNC laser-cut to minimize the heat-affected zone and maintain true edges for a flatter strike face, controlled splatter, and a clear ring on impact. Mount, paint, shoot, repeat. Setup is quick on standard hangers, stands, or T-post systems.
For recreational use and home ranges, this AR500 system delivers fast setup, consistent feedback, and low maintenance that keeps training focused on shooting, not hardware. Manufactured in the United States.

FAQs
Why AR500 for this setup?
⅜ ” AR500 is well-suited to pistols and short-action rifles at appropriate distances, offering dependable performance and long service life.
What calibers is it rated for?
Pistols at about 10 yards and short-action rifles like 6.8 SPC & .30-30 at 100+ yards.
Is AR500 enough for faster rifle rounds?
For > 2,800 fps or long-action magnums (for example .300 win mag), choose ½” AR550 for maximum longevity or increase distance.
How is laser-cutting better?
CNC laser-cutting tightly controls the heat-affected zone, preserves hardness at the edge and yields a cleaner perimeter than plasma cutting. This means longer plate life and safer splatter.
Does it ship painted?
No. We ship unpainted so you can apply your preferred color. White or bright orange offer the best contrast downrange.
What makes this target easy to use?
The 2 lb. (5″), 5 lb. (8″), 8 lb. (10″) or 12 lb. (12″) steel round target is easy to handle for setup and takedown while remaining durable for consistent training. Its solid construction and balanced weight make it ideal for quick placement on standard target stands or mounts.
